Two Arrested for Murder of Notorious Goon

Nagpur: The Kotwali police have arrested two accused in connection with the murder of notorious criminal Nilesh Dupare at Jagnade Square. The accused, identified as Vivek Satpute alias Vicky and Umesh Sonkusre, were apprehended early Friday morning.
According to the police, the murder was an act of revenge. Dupare had allegedly stabbed Satpute a month ago following a minor dispute. Seeking retaliation, Satpute conspired with Sonkusre to eliminate Dupare.
Sonkusre, a native of Bhandara, has a previous murder case registered against him, while Satpute does not have any significant criminal record. Investigators revealed that Satpute was not only angered by the stabbing incident but also deeply upset by ongoing humiliation from Dupare's mother. She had reportedly filed multiple frivolous complaints against him and accused him of being addicted to marijuana.
On Friday, both Satpute and Sonkusre were produced before the court and remanded to police custody until April 29. Kotwali police added that the sharp weapon used in the murder is yet to be recovered.
